Provide support services relating to organizational capacity building and sustainability to new and developing nonprofit organizations as well as undertaking special nonprofit projects. Services include, but are not limited to, preparing, reviewing and updating policies and procedures (operational, financial, board, personnel, etc), assistance with board growth & expansion (reviewing and updating the nomination process, board development) preparing, reviewing and updating fundraising plans (donor cultivation, identifying fundraising opportunities, reviewing current fundraising event strategies), communications plans (including website & social media), strategic plan and/or theory of change implementation, grant writing and other essential functions to ensure growth and sustainability.

Moved into the role of Executive Director after the retirement of the previous Executive Director and worked closely with the Board of Directors and community representatives & leaders during a transitional period of The Women’s Fund. Reorganized The Women’s Fund to meet the requirements for this change including the hiring of appropriate staff, developing a budget that would support the new direction and ensuring all policies & procedures were up-to-date and aligned with the new model. Managed all day-to-day operations of the agency including human resources and other administrative & operational duties necessary for the agency to function efficiently. Provided reports and updates to the Board of Directors as required and/or requested. Represented The Women’s Fund at community events including their signature events and increased their presence in the community, expanding their donor base.

Worked closely with the Executive Director and key staff and members of the Board of Directors to ensure the overall financial support for The Women’s Fund. Responsibilities included:
developing and executing The Women’s Fund annual fundraising plan;
securing financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations;
ensuring the implementation of E-Tapestry and overseeing staff responsibility for data entry and gift processing;
developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with major donors;
creating and executing a strategy for large sustained base of annual individual donors;
overseeing securing funding for and during special events;
developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundations and corporate funding including getting data from funded projects to show impact being made;
grantwriting;
working with the Board of Directors to develop their individual fundraising plans;
overseeing the volunteer and student intern programs; and
completing other projects and assignments as requested by the Executive Director

Managed and oversaw all aspects of the agency including fundraising, finances, program development, and operations having been brought in during a strategic time for the organization. Ensured all grant and funder compliance, including submission of timely and accurate reports and provided fiscal oversight and fidelity to grant requirements. Developed and updated budgets and policies & procedures with training to staff on these updates and other administrative issues. Managed all day-to-day operations of the agency including human resources and other operational duties necessary for the agency to function efficiently. Provided reports and updates to the Board of Directors as required and/or requested. Represented Casa Valentina at community events, both public and private, increasing its presence in the community. Implemented the Theory of Change process to verify fidelity to the mission of the agency; ensured the appropriate benchmarks and indicators were developed for accurate data reporting and tracking.

Reported to the President & CEO of the organization. Managed and oversaw all statewide community programs and supervised all staff associated with these programs. Worked closely with Vice President of Finance to ensure grant and funder compliance and reporting and to provide appropriate budget management. Managed all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the agency, including human resources, licensing and monitoring requirements, and all other operational duties necessary for the agency to function. Worked on all aspects of the major fundraiser and other fundraising activities including donor development & relations, special events and fundraising campaigns. Updated database to include information about donors, volunteers and event participants to be used by Development team to track donations received, level of involvement by volunteers and donors and to accurately report this information as needed.

Developed and implemented a parent involvement program at Ponce de Leon Middle School that has been replicated in several other Miami-Dade, Orange & Seminole and Escambia Counties Public Schools and private schools. This program brings all sectors of the community (school administration, faculty and other staff, parents, business and community leaders) together to communicate and develop ways to help children grow up safe, healthy and drug-free.
